The purpose of this site is to help bring back the enjoyment of reading poetry--may that be JCV's poetry, or someone else's--and to exhibit JCV's floral images.  These photos were all taken in natural light, a method preferred by JCV Studios.  Thus, no artificial lighting, or digital manipulation, were applied to any of the floral photos seen here.


Note that there once was a time in America when poetry was appreciated by the general public, when poems appeared not only in books and literary journals, but in popular magazines (e.g., Life, Cosmopolitan) and daily newspapers.  Today, poetry is more esoteric; and concentrated in the academic world....Thank goodness, however, for the World Wide Web.  For there are numerous poets, aspiring poets, and wonderful poetry sites out there.
